Nutritionally speaking, I swear today was not that bad.*
Sure, I drank 4 cups of decaf coffee after my swim this morning — but at least I ingested some form of calories after my workout, right? I couldn’t convince myself to swallow anything beforehand, but these things must go bird by bird.
And before my run, I did eat something — a few spoonfuls of whipped cream. It was light whipped cream, okay? I regretted it the whole time.
I’m not very good at taking my own advice. Tomorrow is a chance to be a better version of what I want to be.
* Don’t worry, Mom. I ate carrots for breakfast, sauteed squash, baby broccoli, and red peppers for lunch, and whole wheat pretzels with mustard as a snack. Oh, and lettuce! I ate lettuce by the leaf while I cooked. Appetizer style. See? Healthy.
